Shipping is very important. Pay close attention to ensure your test is successful.
You can ship with any shipping company you prefer. We recommend FedEx and offer discounted and guaranteed shipping labels for your benefit. You are not required to purchase our shipping label.
Your test does not include prepaid return shipping. You must purchase shipping.
Mold tests are not time sensitive in the mail - we can still analyze them even if they take a while to arrive. If you're in a hurry, choose a fast shipping option. If you can wait, it's OK to choose a slower or less expensive shipping option.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my test includes prepaid return shipping?
Your test does not include prepaid return shipping. You will need to purchase shipping. We offer discounted and guaranteed FedEx shipping labels for purchase here, or you can ship with any company you prefer.
Why doesn't my test include shipping?
Test kits sold through retail partners do not include prepaid return shipping. There are a few reasons for this:
- Retailers mark up products. We want to provide you with the best value and lowest price. If shipping was included, our discounted shipping rates would be marked up by the retail store.
- Shipping needs vary. Some people need fast results. Others want to save money and are OK with waiting. We can't provide a single form of shipping that meets everyone's needs.
- Shipping labels don't last forever. If we prepackaged a shipping label with your product, it might expire by the time you buy the product.
What shipping company do I use?
We offer discounted FedEx shipping labels here.
You are not required to purchase our label. You can ship using any shipping carrier you prefer. Please note we strongly recommend using a shipping method which includes tracking. Customers who use USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called First Class Mail) do so at their own risk.
We recommend the following shipping methods:
- FedEx or UPS: These are the most reliable services and always include a tracking number.
- USPS Express Mail is generally reliable and always includes a tracking number.
- USPS Priority Mail is somewhat reliable; however, USPS does not offer a delivery guarantee for Priority Mail. Priority Mail always includes a tracking number.
- USPS Ground Advantage (formerly First Class Mail). Ground Advantage is not guaranteed. If you purchase Ground Advantage mail online or at the post office, they will provide a label with a tracking number. Alternatively, you can place 9 first class stamps of 5.25 in postage on your test kit. Please note this is the slowest form of shipping. If using Ground Advantage, we do not advise using stamps. Instead, purchase a label from USPS here.
How many stamps do I need?
First Class Mail Stamps do not include tracking. We strongly recommend using a shipping method which includes tracking. Customers who use USPS Ground Advantage (formerly called First Class Mail) do so at their own risk.
If you must use stamps, you can place 9 first class stamps or 5.25 in postage on your test kit. Please note this is the slowest form of shipping and does not include any tracking or insurance.
Can I ship multiple kits together?
Yes, if you have multiple tests we recommend sending them together in one box or package. This will save you money and ensure all tests reach the lab at the same time.
You can send radon and mold tests in the same package.
Just make sure each kit is individually sealed in its own return shipper. This is necessary to prevent cross-contamination.
I need faster shipping
Discounted FedEx shipping offers are available for purchase here. We offer shipping as fast as Priority Overnight.
How can I get my results as fast as possible?
- Ship your test kits promptly.
- Keep a copy of your shipment tracking information. You can use this to track the shipment delivery to the lab. Shipping time is the biggest factor in analysis time; our lab’s analysis time is typically 3-5 business days (faster if you purchase Lab Rush service).
- Keep a copy of your Test Kit Serial ID in case you need to contact us.
- Ship all your tests in one box or package so they arrive at the same time. Make sure each test is sealed individually in its own return shipper to prevent cross contamination.
- Plan to stop your test early in the week (not on a weekend). Most shipping companies don’t operate on weekends, so it’s best to ship the test early in the week when possible.
- Avoid testing near holidays when possible. Shipping companies don’t operate on some holidays which will increase shipping times.
- For time sensitive tests, we strongly recommend using expedited shipping and purchasing Lab Rush Service for a guaranteed same-business-day report (if received by 10 am).
